100 Point Filipino Scorers

In an effort to pay tribute to the greatest Filipino basketball scorers, let us get to know the few Filipinos who scored 100 points in a game of basketball.


Lou Salvador

Lou Salvador scored 116 points to help the Philippines win the gold medal match against China in the 1923 Far Eastern Games in Osaka, Japan. 

Julian Macoy

Current University of San Carlos Warriors team consultant Julian Macoy is himself a legend in the USC basketball program. Playing for the Green and Gold Warriors in 1957, he scored 100 points or more in 2 games that year. Playing 28 minutes against Cebu Trade School(now Cebu Technological University), he scored 126 points. In the same year, he also scored 101 points against Cebu Normal School (now Cebu Normal University). His number 6 jersey is retired by USC.


Felix Duhig

Cebu Institute of Technology(now Cebu Institute of Technology University) Wildcat Felix Duhig once scored 112 points spiked by 30 three-point conversions in the now defunct Cebu Amateur Athletic Association. This feat was done in 1990 when CIT defeated Cebu School of Arts and Trade(now Cebu Technological University). The previous year, he also scored 79 points in CIT's 127-83 thrashing of Salazar Institute of Technology Skyblazers.


Jeron Teng

Jeron Teng set a Philippine scoring record in high school basketball when he scored 104 points last Janaury 5, 2011 as Xavier School dominated Grace Christian College, 164-74, in the Freego Metro Manila Tiong Lian Basketball League.

Clark Quijano

Clark Quijano broke Jeron Teng's Philippine high school basketball scoring record when he scored 120 points to lead the AMA University High School in a 166-85 rout of Lord's Grace Christian School in the 7th Mariano Bondoc Cup in Quezon City last October 2013.
